The Florida EXPLORES! Home Page has weather and environmental information and resources for K-12 schools in Florida and beyond. Public school students and teachers can access weather satellite information such as hurricane reports and local weather maps. Some areas for exploration at this site are general Florida weather, teacher resource guides, satellite images, radar images, and the Atlantic hurricane season. Some of the goals of this program are to increase awareness in the space and earth sciences, and to encourage students to pursue careers in the sciences and mathematics through participation in research.
